Lead times vary depending of wood species, size of project, style and time of year.

*PLEASE NOTE: Any amendments made to materials or measurements after on-site visit and/or shop drawing/landing heights/material orders have been made may reset the lead time. All work is to be completed in a professional manner according to standard practices. Any alterations or deviation from what is outline within the approved quotation; involving extra costs, will be executed, only upon written orders by the client, and will become an extra charge over and above the original approved quote. All agreements are contingent upon strikes, accidents, or delay beyond our control. Owner is to carry necessary insurance during construction.

Stock Woods & Specialty Woods:

Our most common and in stock wood species at all times is red oak.

Lead times will vary on specialty wood. Natural colour variation and mineral stain may occur.

All Creative Design Stairs & Railing Inc wood products will arrive, and/or installed in raw finish ready form. Our shop finish wood products are consistently finish sanded with 120 grit, allowing for stain, paint, and clear coats to be immediately applied. Creative Design Stairs & Railing Inc does not provide staining, painting and/or clear coats services.  Finishing is to be done by a hired professional painter, or the customer.

*PLEASE NOTE: Fans or propane heaters in the home may cause cracking in both unfinished and finished wood products. Unusual humidity levels and drastic temperature fluctuations will cause cracking in unfinished and finished wood products. Creative Design Stairs & Railing Inc is not responsible for elemental damages done by uncontrolled temperature and humidity levels. *Additional charges will apply to service calls that are due from failure to provide environmental consistency, proper protection and/or properly timed finish.

Pre-Finishing:

 

Upon completion and/or installation of Creative Design Stairs & Railing Inc project, it is the responsibility of the customer’s professional painter, or the customer to have the stairs and/or railing project properly finished in a timely manner to prevent elemental damages

*PLEASE NOTE: Water-based paints, stains, and clear coats will deliver water into the unfinished wood products causing the wood grains to lift as a result the wood finish will appear rough. It is the responsibility of the customer’s professional painter, or the customer, to provide sanding between coats and a final sand to achieve a smooth overall finish.

 

*ALL CREATIVE DESIGN STAIRS & RAILING INC. PRODUCTS MUST BE PROFESSIONALLY FINISHED AND SEALED NO LATER THAN ONE (1) MONTH FROM FINAL PAYMENT DATE.
